We threw an open house for my son and daughter in law. It was a lot of fun! We found this old bike in front of an old shed and painted it yellow.

My son in law built this picnic table and it looked so cute!

Another great idea we saw on pintrest that turned out wonderful. We are going to quilt it and they will have a beautiful keep sake.

An old stove we found in a collapsed chicken coop! A little TLC and it looks wonderful!

It was a record high so we had to have a snow cone station, everyone loved them.

Another pintrest idea, painting on a drop cloth for a table runner-awesome!

So we had to have a lemonade bar!

My favorite thing of all was the popcorn bar! Everyone loved it!
We had buttered popcorn with lots of sprinkle topping options, then we had cinnamon popcorn, caramel popcorn and candycorn.

An old bucket holds the ice and I love the pallet porch clock with the numbers all wrong!

An old screen door was perfect to hold some snap shots.

A porch swing to hold the guys!

This is were they had their reception, it was so beautiful!

And this is our darling Bri! We just love her!

We just love our little Nixin too!

Summer Picnics!

Everyone dishing up the wonderful salads! I have put the recipes and a picture at the end of this post.

My daughter and I found this dresser in a dumpster when we were taking trash and I made her climb in and we saved it! Isn't it wonderful!!! Rikki painted it and distressed it and I lined the drawer with plastic and planted red "Pinks" in it. I love how it looks!

Summer means picnic time! Nothing like an outdoor barbaque to make some fun summer memories.

Time to invite friends and family over and let the eating begin!

We even found a cute little snake and that was exciting!

I planted a hardy hibiscus plant this year and love it. I hope it can survive our hard winters, I guess we will see next spring?
